Bio Gas revolutionizing agriculture, get more with less; start your own new green revolution.

Grow your crops with bioslurry and obtain amazing yields and income while generating biogas for cooking, brooding poultry (day old chicks)

The issue that has threatened the world leaders in the 21st century has been majorly the topic of global warming and the responsibility of each state actors in mitigating the negative impact of climate change tops the agenda of United Nation strategic development goal following the parish climate agreement.

Forest are the lungs of a nation, the habitat of wildlife giving a new breath to a nation and yet they are now continuously under the threat of extinction mostly in Uganda and other  African nations because of human activities like cutting down trees for charcoal as a source of fuel.

Food Insecurity, Malnutrition, climate change, rural poverty, unemployment, and environmental degradation, especially in Uganda and sub-Saharan Africa has become matters of serious concern and discussion.

As countries try to cope with the coronavirus pandemic billions of people majority, poor resource farmers are teetering on the brink of economic collapse, the global survey predicts by 2050 the world population will increase to 9.5 billion, consequently resources shall be scarce, loss of habitat, Natural resources will be overused.so far more than 821 million people regularly go to bed hungry, according to the World Food Program. “The depth and breadth of hunger will increase worldwide as pandemic wreck its havoc”

To meet these challenges head-on, Anywalonino Earthworm Farmers’ Co-operative Society Ltd together with Crestanks Ltd a manufacturer of Blue Flame BioSlurriGaz and other farmers products are jointly promoting the system among local resource-poor farmers to address challenges of declining soil fertility, low productivity, lack and unaffordability of fertilizer, food and nutritional insecurity, energy insecurity, unemployment, poverty, lack of empowerment (particularly of women and the youth) and environmental degradation.

Guided by the concept of a system of crop intensification aims to help smallholder farmers produce their own nutrient-rich organic fertilizer”bioslurri “to boost food production while reducing drastically on inputs like seed or seedlings, labor, and water, thus reducing input costs.SCI principle focus on “ more with less” where you use organic fertilizer and you plant with space( planting fewer seeds or seedlings in a given area than has been the norm) in the technology, each plant is fed plenty of bioslurri and given plenty of space to grow and provide double or more yields while significantly reducing inputs and input cost.

The BioSlurriGaz/biogas system called Blue flame BioSlurriGaz is a highly efficient, easy to install, plastic system made of UV stabililised polyethylene compounded with 2.3 per cent carbon black to protect it from the suns ultra-violet rays and give it the expected lifespan of 30 years.

Feedstock other than dung of animals.

a)      Food remains, over ripe rotten fruit pulp, crushed peelings and finely crushed vegetables waste.

b)      Spoilt fruit juices from any source including food processing factories e.g. wineries

c)       Finely crushed non edible wild fruits.

d)      Sugar cane juice (finely chopped) and molasses.

e)      Rain damaged, insect damaged, rotten or waste grains, bran of wheat, rice and other cereals waste and spilt flour potatoes, cassava, sorghum, maize.

f)       Powdered oil cake from edible and non-edible oil seeds such as cotton.

g)      Chopped up agricultural crop waste as additional source of feedstock

Several varieties of grasses hay, straws of crops like wheat and sorghum, maize leaves and stock requires a two stage process, first of fermentation in a separate vessels and then the second, of feeding of the fermented bio mass into the digester. This is because anaerobic bacteria cannot digest such waste before fermentation.

Key highlights of benefits an Agri-preneur can enjoy from BlueFlame BioSlurry gas system.

ü  Produce daily free supply of nutrient-rich organic Bioslurry-“the life of the soils” and” the storehouse of the plant nutrients”-at the rate of about 120L and 60L every day from model LFM 6200 –that is 2tons of bioslurry in about 20 days-enough to fertilize adequately one hectare of land for most crops

ü  Generate additional income from sale of Bioslurry as wet/dried fertilizer to other farmers as fertilizer feeds for fish, pigs etc.

ü  Hardly any maintenance when operated in accordance with its manual

ü  Molded as one-piece molding-no joints and no leaks-of UV stabilized polyethylene with expected lifespan of 30 years.

ü  Polyethylene being an inert material, corrosive substances in it do not degrade them.

Trials of methane gas for other uses:

i.            Brooding day old chicks.

With the advent of Anywalonino Earthworm Farmers’ Co-operative Society Ltd several trials (R&D)

in optimizing methane uses through converting it into brooding house as energy requirement is

undergoing testing ,then followed by roll out and commercialization ,significantly reducing the cost of

brooding and poultry rearing increasing farmers income year around.

ii.            Bio gas generator and Gas packaging in cylinder for house hold use.

There is already an ongoing trial at National Livestock Resource Research Institute Namulonge, the

success of which shall boost farm energy needs, household convenience leading to increase income.
